About Asian Language Academy (ALA)

ALA is a boutique Asian language school offering courses in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Japanese and Korean. ALA is a sister academy to the renowned European Language Academy (ELA), a quality provider of classes in French, German, Spanish and Italian. In response to exceptional demand from students wanting to learn Asian languages, ELA's management decided to start another specialist academy teaching Asian languages.

ALA is a specialist provider of Asian language training and cross cultural consulting services, offering programmes for adults and children.

We know that we are not here simply to run language classes, but to promote greater cultural understanding amongst New Zealanders through language and culture.  Our mission drives everything we do and how we relate with clients.

In Auckland, we are centrally located at the Auckland Domain and a short stroll from Newmarket cafes, restaurants and bars.  Our Christchurch premises are shared with the Sir George Seymour National College of Travel and Tourism, and are on the corner of Colombo and Peterborough Streets.
